03 - 2 teaspoons hot sauce
04 - 1 teaspoon ketchup

→ Seasonings

05 - 2 tablespoons dry ranch seasoning mix
06 - 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
07 - ½ teaspoon paprika
08 - ¼ teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
09 - ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
10 - ½ teaspoon kosher salt
11 - ½ teaspoon black pepper

# How to Make It:

01 - Whisk mayonnaise and buttermilk in a medium bowl until smooth and well combined.
02 - Pour in hot sauce and ketchup, whisking until fully incorporated.
03 - Add ranch seasoning, taco seasoning, paprika, cayenne pepper, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until sauce is creamy and uniform.
04 - Taste and adjust seasoning as desired. Add buttermilk one tablespoon at a time for thinner sauce, or reduce to ¼ cup for thicker dip.
05 - Transfer sauce to an airtight container or jar. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld before serving.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • Its ready in ten minutes and keeps for a week in the fridge
  • The flavors actually get better after a day of resting together
02 -
  • The sauce needs those 30 minutes in the fridge or it will taste raw and unbalanced
  • Substituting regular milk for buttermilk will make it disappointingly flat
03 -
  • Room temperature ingredients blend together more smoothly than cold ones
  • Let the sauce sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving for the best flavor
